Writing A High Converting Webinar Registration Page

Your webinar registration page is the most important page in your funnel. If people don’t feel that ache of wonder or that thirst of curiosity, they won’t click, they won’t opt in and consequently,  they won’t watch and they won’t buy. Rather than waiting to create your webinar registration page to the end or having it tucked away somewhere out of view, make it the first thing you do! Your webinar registration does not have to be complicated, and in fact, it’s one of the FASTEST and simplest pages to make. We recommendation that you make the registration page FIRST, before anything else. Get it out of the way before you create any other pages–by doing so you will have all the pieces you need to create the first half of your webinar.

In our webinar registration page template, we outline three CRUCIAL pieces of info you need. They are:

  • Hook
  • Tagline
  • Three Secrets

  • Free gift teaser
  • Timers and dates and messenger widgets (for communication and reminders)
  • Scarcity + Urgency

Writing the Hook

How I/We _____________ (use something like doubled, tripled, 10x-ed)_______________ Our ___________ (sales, customers, clients, leads, units sold, something your customer WANTS)_____________ with This/These _________ (insert a number)_________ Strategy/ies (tactics, systems,), and Why It Took/Without _________, __________, and ______________.

The Tagline

The tagline may or may not be necessary depending on how good your hook is. Maybe you want to add some qualifying remarks, additional curiosity points, or ensure people that it can be done in a certain amount of time. Either way, if you feel that your hook is a little weak, your tagline can be really helpful in reeling in any interested parties. Here are some taglines that really add to the above hooks:

The Three Secrets

The three secrets you should include in your webinar registration are fully described in Expert Secrets, but to recap, we’ve outlined what those three secrets should be below.

Your three secrets are important in crushing your audience’s existing beliefs and replacing them with new beliefs that make it impossible for them to do anything other than buy what you’re offering! In order to do this successfully, each of the three secrets should tackle one aspect of their broken belief system:

  1. Broken belief in the system or solution or vehicle
    1. It’s not real
    2. It doesn’t work
    3. It’s not new
    4. It’s not going to help
  2. Broken belief in their ability to work within the system or solution
    1. I am too lazy
    2. I am too slow
    3. I am not technical
    4. I have no time
    5. I have no skills
  3. Broken belief in outside factors influencing the system
    1. What if people don’t like it?
    2. What if my location is unpopular?
    3. What if my audience is broke?
    4. What if my friends don’t understand

Let’s take this hook and tagline and build secrets for it.

Secret #2 Will Make Them Believe THEY Can Do It: Why You Don’t Need Willpower to Lose Weight and Maintain It

Secret #3 Will Make Them Believe That the Environment Won’t Sabotage Them: You’ll Be Shocked When I Show You How Your Family Can Adapt to This Eating Style, Even if You Have Picky Kids


Styling the Webinar Registration Page in Clickfunnels

10. Footer with Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

You can also add a quick survey element the way Clickfunnels did. This small aspect can help increase opt-ins as well! See the survey underneath the picture of Russell and Todd for a great example of how to do this. When you use this element, have each click trigger only the pop-up. It’s designed not to gather info as much as it is to really get people to take action on the page.

Scarcity and urgency can be added to the page as well, as seen in this registration page where they are warned the webinar fills up. This works best with live webinar funnels!

Finally, get creative with reminders. You can do that via email, via text, and even via Messenger! Don’t forget that half of the sale happens BEFORE they actually show up to the event.
