Tyson Durfey: Farmer and Entrepreneur
Growing up in the Midwest, Tyson Durfey was a kid who grew up in a barn. He has a farming and ranching background, and being an entrepreneur was not on his radar at all.
“If you grew up on a farm, life is hard. You work 18 or 20 hours a day sometimes. Pretty much your livelihood depends on your animals living or dying […] My dad was always saying: do you know how much that cost? Money was just this gigantic thing that we could never have”
But, he didn’t just accept the situation. Tyson Durfey had a vision of what he wanted and he kept going until he achieved it. He realized that hard work pays off and that you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it. When he was just a kid, he started to find ways to earn some money. Instead of playing with the other kids, every time his family went to the rodeo (because his father trained horses and other athletes) he started collecting glass bottles and aluminum cans.

First 84 Dollars
The first time he took the bottles and cans to the recycling place, he earned 84 dollars! And at that very moment, he understood money gave him independence and that was a feeling he was not going to give up, he understood that he COULD DO ANYTHING!
It’s hard not to be impressed with Tyson’s story.
When he was 14 years old, Tyson was on his own. He had to wake himself up and remind himself to do his homework—he learned at a young age that business and money were equivalent to independence. At a very young age, he experienced life and all its hardships. He learned that to be successful, you have to be persistent and never give up on your dreams.

Solopreneur and Success
He was a solopreneur for a long time and nowadays he has accomplished all his success thanks to the lessons he learned very young.
Even though there were challenging times, Tyson’s family was always supporting him. Nowadays they are very proud of him. He understands his background can be inspiring for others, and he wants to use his story to help others achieve their dreams.

Nowadays Tyson is a world-champion rodeo athlete, speaker, performance coach, and entrepreneur. He owns several successful businesses and has dedicated his life to helping others live their life on their own terms!
